Shipping Timeframes

Shipping times vary, depending upon the carrier we utilize. Unless you have chosen a different shipping method, all awards will be shipped UPS ground, FOB North Carolina. We can also use USPS, but we prefer UPS because of tracking. Each carrier has different shipping timeframes. In situations with tight deadlines, we may have to use expedited shipping, but we will request your approval prior to doing so.

We charge a minimum handling fee that covers packaging materials and labor, plus actual shipping charges. Thus, the estimated shipping charge shown on your order acknowledgement will NOT be the actual amount charged—we apply that when the shipment is ready to go out the door.

We can ship third party, so if you wish to use your FedEx or UPS account number please let us know that number. Since we do not have a daily Fedex pickup but have to deliver those packages to the terminal, we do apply a delivery charge to those shipments.

We don’t ship outside the USA, with some exceptions, and are not able to ship to PO Boxes or APO addresses. Below is a UPS shipping times map to give you an idea of shipping times for your specific area.

Artwork File Formats

Artwork used for laser engraving must be in an acceptable format to ensure quality results in the laser engraved image. Each of our processes have differences – laser is different from sandblasting which is different from UV printing. An image that looks good on a printer may not engrave well on a product.

When submitting files, consider the following:

Only PC-compatible files – Mac files not accepted
No grayscale – vector black and white only
Minimum 300 dpi

Acceptable

Vector Black & White Line Art (no grayscale, color, or halftones)
PC-platform file formats (EPS, AI, PDF, CDR)
Depending on the process, some high resolution bitmap file formats will work such as JPG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, but only after assessed by our art department.
Convert all fonts to outlines/curves before sending.

Unacceptable

Word (.doc), PowerPoint (.ppt), Excel (.xls), Word Perfect (.wpd), Publisher (.pub)
Web graphics, business cards, faxes, photocopies, etc.

‍We will not accept image files embedded in documents or spreadsheets—submit only the image files themselves. We can re-design the image for a graphic design fee, typically about $35.
